Old Wood Pilings in Blue Water- Fine Art Photograph by Colleen Kammerer
~
Two old wood pilings pose like statues, and cast their reflections in the still waters of the Mullica River. The pale plume of purple smoke in the background is from the annual controlled burning program by the state Department of Environmental Protection.
The Mullica was once known as the Little Egg Harbor River. The river provides one of the principal drainage into the Atlantic Ocean of the extensive Pinelands.
