The beauty of the Nautilus is about growth and evolution. It starts off as a very small shell. As the animal grows, so does the chambers that protect it. The Nautilus shell grows a new chamber to accommodate it's growth. The geometry of the spiral manifests in nature as a form of proportional growth. Once the animal grows and moves to a new chamber it can never go back, it is too big. It must continue to move on to bigger spaces all it's life and leave the past behind.
In this way the Nautilus is very much a wonderful symbol for our own lives... to constantly grow, learn, and evolve. To never look back and reach for a better future!
