About the Image:
Black and white image of Whig Hall, one of a pair of Greek-revival buildings on the Princeton campus.
The structure by architect A. Page Brown was built in 1893 in the Ionic style of a Greek temple. The building was named after and used by the Whig student debating society, which merged in 1928. with the Clio debating society. The American Whig-Cliosophic Society, the oldest college debating club in the United States, now resides in Whig Hall.
