The iconic Casino building at Asbury Park Boardwalk is now closed due to neglect. The name is gone from the front of the building and the salt air has taken its toll on the steel trusses rendering the building unstable. In the meantime, the historic building is adorned with another mermaid blocking pedestrians from using the breezy walkthrough And so, this unique piece of architectural history waits for a renovation.
